Jon B. "Brett" Bennett - President & Founder

Brett Bennett has more than twenty years of management experience in the oil and gas industry and a deep understanding of the challenges and opportunities associated with mature energy assets. His experience spans asset evaluation, business development, regulatory matters, and the long-term management of oil and gas properties.

Through his work in mature oilfields, Brett developed a firsthand appreciation for the ownership, operational, environmental, and financial issues that can affect both energy assets and future land use. This perspective led him to found Dry Creek Environmental, LLC, a company focused on helping clients identify constraints, evaluate risk, and develop practical pathways forward.

Brett also founded Native State Environmental, Inc., a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing solutions for legacy oil and gas infrastructure. Native State sponsored the American Carbon Registry's methodology for the quantification, monitoring, reporting, and verification of greenhouse gas emission reductions and removals associated with plugging orphaned oil and gas wells in the United States and Canada.

Today, Brett focuses on helping developers, investors, landowners, and operators navigate the complexities of legacy energy infrastructure through a combination of industry experience, practical insight, and a long-term perspective on the evolving role of energy assets.
